BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA

Rouses, a regional grocery chain located throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, and lower Alabama, recently opened the doors of its newest location in Baton Rouge, LA on Bluebonnet Blvd. This project entailed the complete renovation of the existing Matherne's grocery store. Whereas before the interior was outdated, dim, and yellowed by age, shoppers now enjoy a space that is vibrant, modern, and unlike any other grocery shopping experience in Baton Rouge.

Each department's unique design elements serve to visually rather than physically separate the spaces. From the faux brick wall in Liquor and the super-sized wooden scales in Seafood to the extensive use of stainless steel, the overall effect is cohesive yet differentiated.
