MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA

Chappy’s Deli, a much-loved Montgomery establishment, is well known for their delicious soups, salads, sandwiches, and breakfasts. After loving the final results from the Prattville locations redesign, JMR+H along with SEI Design was asked to step in and create an interior for the Peppertree Plaza location that matched the excellence of the food. Throughout construction, the restaurant remained open and it was imperative that the team strive to disturb normal operations as little as possible.

This design incorporates many of the same finishes from the Prattville location with its funky fixtures and old black-and-white deli photos wallpapering much of the restaurant. With this design though, darker wood paneling, curtain partitions, and combination tile/wood floors evoke a timeless and elegant motif and create a more intimate setting.
